Disney

DisneySea welchesnt part of the itinerary, but I was curious about it. I wasnt surprised to catch a glimpse of 19th-century America after passing Nautilus. And the almost-perfect cone of Prometheus was looming in the distance. Japan became part of my bucket list after watching the Studio Ghibli films. As a matter of fact, the Ghibli Museum was on the top of my list. I had trouble looking for Lawson, where I could buy my ticket. I was mortified when a kind local made me realized that this convenient store was a ubiquitous sight in the metropolis. I wasnt good in directions, but it would be another story.I didnt bring my iPad to my trip, and my cell phone was turned off during the day. It took me a few years to prepare my trip across the Pacific, and I dont want work to spoil it. The memories of the university came back during a dinner the other night, and it saddened me that I used to have five glorious months (as a student). It would be five weeks when I entered the corporate world. As I was staring at my bowl of ramen, I thought that the world of work could be cruel. I mentioned it to my roommate, who chose the academic career. He seemed annoyed, even dared me to experience the strains of the national curriculum. I didnt press him about it.If you happen to be one of those employees who is truly fortunate to have a job that you truly love doing (for the rest of your life), then I would recommend a holiday with a clear conscience. Alas, those who dont feel like theyre working weeks after week would need to get away from the workplace now and then. You have a love life (or youre trying to have a social life). There are pressing matters in the household. (Someone must fix the shower.) You may be too old for an inter-railing ticket two decades from now, and you dont want to find out (if youre right or wrong). You must arrange some things before you embark on your dream destination. Here are five things to doYou must make aya that everything will be in order in the s ekretariat. If there will be a meeting, you must pass relevant information and contact details to your boss or colleague. Arrange your desk in an orderly manner, such that your colleague(s) will know where to find item(s) during urgent moments. And you can postpone your dental appointment.Dont play the blame game. Youre far from the madding crowd (or so you thought), and you should banish any thoughts about the office whenever it would come to mind. You wouldnt know if things fall apart. If it does happen, then you can blame it on office mismanagement. You earn your R&R, so make the most out of it.It wont be necessary to follow the itinerary. I was supposed to visit Shibuya during my second day, but it didnt happen. I got lost in the railway (while I was on my way to the Imperial Palace), which would be a different case. It would be a no-no during working hours, but this might be part of a unique experience on the other side. I (finally) set foot in the famed (Shibuya) district a co uple of days later. Follow the rules when you enter the guilt-free zone. Gadgets wont look cool in an exotic destination especially the beach. Paperwork will make you feel guilty about it. (You paid quite a sum to give yourself a break.) Read a good book. If youre heading to the beach, then dont forget sunscreen. You must deal with post-holiday blues. I was tempted to post my photos on Instagram, but I could do it later. I would expect to get back into the routine of working life in a few days, so there wont be any need to panic about it.
